LSC Purchases VISTONE® Compressor Fluid Brand and Associated Business From Infineum

lscpicLubricating Specialties Company (LSC), the largest independent lubricant blender in the Western United States headquartered in Pico Rivera California, has purchased the VISTONE® compressor fluid brand and associated business from Infineum USA L.P. (Infineum).

The VISTONE® product line consists of high performance, synthetic diester compressor fluids as well as synthetic diester base fluids utilized in a wide range of products from engine and hydraulic oils to industrial oils and greases. The transaction closed on December 30th, 2016 and included the purchase of an aviation DI additive (M7260) and a versatile viscosity modifier (V8512) utilized in many industrial and grease formulations.

Sydney Thwaites, President & CEO of LSC said, “the acquisition of the VISTONE® brand is a good opportunity for LSC and fits our strategy of offering a broad and diverse slate of products to our customers while serving them in as many ways as possible. The Infineum and LSC transition teams worked diligently for the better part of a year to ensure a seamless transition of customer service, supply chain logistics and product integrity to our customers globally.”

Ken Kalisky, Infineum America’s Sales Director added, “Infineum was very selective as to who we considered for the sale of these businesses as a properly managed customer transition and the ability to effect proper management of change was crucial to us and a key requirement of any potential purchaser. LSC, who we have known for many years, fit right in with these requirements and capabilities and as such we felt very comfortable with the transition of these businesses to LSC. We believe that LSC’s strong technical and supply capabilities will serve these businesses well.”

The ongoing marketing and customer service support of the VISTONE® products will be led by Richard Scott of LSC.
